WARRANTY SCHEDULE

BACKGROUND

A. The commencement date for the Warranty Period is fourteen (14) days after the actual day of final payment.

B. The Warranties contained herein are in no way meant to restrict / negate your rights and abilities under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (unless this Act is not applicable pursuant to section 43(2) of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, as outlined in 'Business to Business - Exclusion of Consumer Guarantees Act 1993').

Pinball NZ warrants the following:

1. For new pinball machines Pinball NZ provides cover under this warranty for the following:

  • PCBs;
  • Transformers;
  • Power Supplies;
  • Electronic Coin Mechanism; and
  • LCD Screens.

The period of cover under this warranty for these specific parts is deemed to be six months from the commencement of the Warranty Period.

2. For second hand pinball machines (that were sold for over $4,000) Pinball NZ provides cover under this warranty for the following:

  • PCBs;
  • Transformers; and
  • Electronic Coin Mechanism.

The period of cover under this warranty for these specific parts is deemed to be three months from the commencement of the Warranty Period.

3. For new dedicated machines Pinball NZ provides cover under this warranty for the following:

  • PCBs;
  • Power Supplies;
  • Electronic Coin Mechanism;
  • Credit board;
  • Transformers; and
  • Screens.

The period of cover under this warranty for these specific parts is deemed to be six months from the commencement of the Warranty Period.

4. For used dedicated machines (that were sold for over $4,000) Pinball NZ
provides cover under this warranty for the following:

  • PCBs;
  • Power Supplies;
  • Electronic Coin Mechanism;
  • Credit board; and
  • Transformers.

The period of cover under this warranty for these specific parts is deemed to be three months from the commencement of the Warranty Period.

Other Dedicated Machine Parts and Pinball Parts are NOT covered by these
warranties.

WARRANTY CLAIMS

1. In conjunction with the terms set out in this Warranty, the following are the requirements for a warranty claim:

  • copy of the sales invoice must accompany the warranty claim form;
  • The machine and/or part(s) must be returned to our nominated repair facility for repair;
  • The warranty is not transferrable with the sale of the machine from one owner to another owner;
  • Warranty claims made after the warranty period will not be accepted regardless of whether the fault was made during the warranty period. This is in relation to this warranty only and does not diminish rights and abilities under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993;
  • The warranty is void if unauthorised personnel do any repair work on the machine;
  • Any parts removed from machines and returned to us for warranty must have the manufacturer's serial number stickers still attached to them.
  • All factors, deemed relevant by the supplier, will be taken into consideration when determining whether the good is faulty; and
  • All prices are GST inclusive.

2. The terms contained herein are not in any way meant to restrict or negate rights and abilities under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

Warranty Exclusions

This section identifies some of the exclusions under this warranty.

A. For the avoidance of doubt, any and all warranties or conditions which are not guaranteed under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (as applicable) and which are not expressly included in this Warranty as additional warranties or conditions are excluded.

B. This Warranty does not extend to loss caused by normal wear and tear, fire, water damage and theft.

C. This Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • incorrect or improper maintenance or failure to maintain the Pinball NZ product;
  • incorrect voltage or non-authorised electrical connections;
  • adverse external conditions such as power surges and dips, thunderstorm activity, acts of God, acts of terrorism and damage caused by vermin;
  • use of non-authorised/non-standard, defective or incompatible parts;
  • exposure to excessive heat, moisture or dampness;
  • misuse or abusive use of the Pinball NZ product, including physical abuse.

Business to Business - Exclusion of Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

Notwithstanding any other provisions in these warranties if you purchased a Pinball NZ product in New Zealand for the purposes of a business, it is hereby agreed that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply in accordance with section 43(2) of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. No other warranties whether express or implied by law are made with respect to these products in a business to business transaction and to transactions for business use in accordance with section 43(2) of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
